Kee Club Shanghai: Refuge for the Jetsetting Elite

afternoon tea and brunches are served year-round.

On the fourth floor, there are two additional salons named after the mainland China flagship shops found on the two bottom floors;  British menswear brand Alfred Dunhill and the Swiss luxury watchmaker, Vacheron Constantin – owned by the prestigious Richemont Group. Members and their guests can hold private functions in either, plus receive invitations

to special sales and events as an added benefit.

Other perks include a food and drink credit equal to the cost of the membership fee, waived tipping charges, partnerships with other international clubs, and two hours’ worth of meeting room space available with a prior reservation. Champagne is even offered on birthdays.

Pricing aside and despite the grandeur of the space, Kee Club – with its plush leather

couches, opulent interiors, lovely gardens and friendly staff – feels surprisingly laidback; an elegant refuge from busy city living. But when considering the owners’ original intent to create a stylish home-away-from-home for their jet-setting intimates, perhaps not so strange after all.
