The Porsche 918 Spyder: Plug-in Hybrid Supercar Sets a Nürburgring Record

recorded by a production car that is street legal across the entire world.
It's common practice for automakers to test the performance abilities of their vehicles on the track, which features a number of different challenges that push any car toward its limits. Interestingly enough, the previous record was held by the Porsche 918 Spyder, at seven minutes and fourteen seconds. The fact that Porsche keeps
pushing the limit on the Nürburgring is a sign of the company's performance prowess.
The record breaking run on the Nurburgring took place on September 4. Porsche showed up to the legendary track with two 918 Spyders, and the supercars were piloted by three test drivers: Marc Lieb, a Porsche factory driver; Walter Röhrl, a former European Rally Champion;
